What to ask before you order

Take this into the call. No vendor gets to edit this list.

1. Is this commercial-grade, and what is the weight rating and warranty under commercial use? Residential furniture carries neither.
2. What is the lead time from order to delivery — and is it quoted from order date or from final approval of finishes? This is usually the item that moves your opening date.
3. Does the upholstery meet the flammability requirements for public assembly occupancy? Ask for documentation; your fire inspector may ask you for it.
4. Will I be able to match or reorder this in two years when I need six more chairs, or is it a closeout run?
5. Are booths stock or custom, and does the price include installation and any required anchoring?
6. For patio furniture: what is the wind rating, and what does off-season storage require?
7. Does the layout leave ADA-compliant aisle clearance and the right proportion of accessible table heights? Get this right on the drawing, not after inspection.
