What to know before you call
- The cities of Medina, Wadsworth, and Brunswick had their own health districts once. They merged with the townships into a single countywide district under the Medina County Board of Health, established 1960 — so there is genuinely only one door here.
- Call 330-723-9688 and choose option 3 for food safety.

Once you know your agency
- Work through the opening path — every approval in the order it has to happen, with what blocks what.
- How a food service license application actually runs — plan review, risk levels, fees and inspection order. Written for Cuyahoga County; the sequence is the same everywhere in Ohio, the desk and the fees are not.
- What has to be in the kitchen before your inspection
- Food safety and health code consultants — if you would rather have someone walk the plan review with you.
Agency jurisdictions, fees, and procedures change. Confirm with the agency before you sign a lease, submit plans, or open. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
